Doctor Madd, a a founding member of the Dirty Butter Jug Band, has performed with Albert Collins, and Reverend Pearly Brown, the Yazoo Blues Review, and The Club Zayante Jug Stompers

Doctor Madd (Duane Cox) grew up in McKeesport PA, two blocks from a steel mill. In 1971 at San Jose City College he became a founding member of the Dirty Butter Jug Band. Along the way he has performed with such luminaries as One Hand Clapping, Albert Collins, and Reverend Pearly Brown.

Over the years Dr. Madd has played locally with groups such as the Sand Band, the Yazoo Blues Review, and The Club Zayante Jug Stompers. The Doctor part of the name stems back to having served as a Medic in Vietnam. Diana on Keyboards, Norm Jones on Bass, Robert Lange on Sax, and Pat McCue on Drums round out the rhythm section. Special Guest David Paul Campbell on Mandolin and various other instruments.
